Public Libraries 2016
| What are the next generation public libraries? The "Public Libraries of New Zealand; a strategic framework 2006 - 2016" points the way for the future. How do we capitalise on it?
This workshop will provide an overview of the framework and discuss the "agenda for action" for public libraries. What transformational change is needed? What can we do better together as public libraries of New Zealand? How do we want to position libraries within local government and the nation? This is your chance to engage in debate about areas for future growth, attention and development: Digital and/or books; Central Government and local government mix; critical areas for investment. Help shape the profession's response and influence the Summit. |
